Energy-efficient plastic solar greenhouses

Also known as warm greenhouses, are a common type of facility greenhouse in northern China.

They are also suitable for regions around the world where winter temperatures are low but there is good sunlight during the day.

This type of greenhouse does not require artificial heating.

Even during the coldest winter days, it relies solely on sunlight to maintain a certain indoor temperature level (storing heat during the day and retaining warmth at night), which is sufficient to support the growth of vegetable crops.

The energy-efficient solar greenhouse mainly depends on sunlight for heat storage and nighttime insulation to maintain indoor temperature.

It can ensure the growth of vegetables and flowers, even in regions with low winter temperatures.

Project Overview:

Greenhouse Span

 14 meters (2 units), 16 meters (1 unit)

Greenhouse Wall

Rear wall and gable width of 600mm + 100mm thick foam insulation layer.

Main Arch Frame

80mm × 30mm ×2.0mm (wall thickness) hot-dip galvanized elliptical steel pipes.

High corrosion resistance, long-lasting rust-free performance. The elliptical steel pipe has stronger load-bearing capacity and is more stable.

Equipped with cross tie rods to further enhance the greenhouse structure's stability.

Internal Support Columns

80mm×60mm×2.0mm (wall thickness) hot-dip galvanized rectangular steel pipes.

Surface Covering

Special PO film for greenhouses.

Insulation Covering

Four-layer composite rainproof and thermal insulation quilt.

Other configurations

The greenhouse is also equipped with 3 axial-flow fans and one 1.5m (height) × 10.0m (length) wet curtain.

The fans provide rapid ventilation, and when used with the wet curtain, they can also help cool the greenhouse.

This solar greenhouse is designed for planting flowers and seedling cultivation.

It adopts a wall structure that enhances the overall insulation and heat storage properties of the greenhouse.

A total of three solar greenhouses have been completed for this project, located in Henan Province, China.
